Solar System is an instrumental fusion trio from Chiang Mai whose music carries the spirit of Northern Thailand into every performance. Founded by guitarist Gong (Rasmee Isan Soul) and drummer August—and later joined by saxophonist Zen—the band began as a competition project but quickly transcended those origins, winning first place and discovering a sound worth pursuing far beyond the stage.

Rooted in the idea of Chiang Mai Sound, their compositions weave local atmosphere, Thai identity, and contemporary fusion into something unmistakably their own. With their Northern Thai jazz fusion, they manage to capture both the sunset and sunrise of the region—the warmth, the mist, the mountains, the quiet glow. And though there are only three of them, the sound they create rejuvenates the soul: Zen’s powerful saxophone lines carry touches of 80’s nostalgia, Gong’s guitar offers an enchanting melodic drive, and August’s drums form an awakening pulse that lifts the entire room.

Having performed at festivals from Moscow to Pai, Solar System continues to bring the voice of their small northern city to the world.

Bangkok Mojo is thrilled to present a special event with Pro Musica, celebrating the timeless brilliance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in our intimate venue.

The concert features Thai violinist and violist Tasana Nagavajara, who has performed across five continents with legendary artists such as Lord Yehudi Menuhin and in prestigious halls including Musikvereinsaal and Konzerthaus Vienna, Barbican Centre and Cadogan Hall London, and Suntory Hall Tokyo. Tasana is also the artistic director of Pro Musica and a founding member of Silpakorn University’s Faculty of Music.

Joining him is Thai–Japanese violinist Anna Takeda, whose international career includes performances with the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, and numerous solo appearances worldwide.

Mozart’s music remains beloved because of its melody, clarity, and universality — simple yet full of clever surprises that delight audiences across generations.

Every Saturday, Lips Manly present their unique Neo Vintage Swing Eclectic Pop style. All the covers and originals have been heavily “lipsified” by the frontman Will Christopher Corbin, a man from Florida with the ukulele and a mic with special powers! Powered by the French drummer Ludovic and Thai guitarist Pong, Will will (pun intended) deliver the most incredible renditions of Depeche Mode, Police, David Bowie, Talking Heads, Dead or Alive, Bruce Springsteen, Blondie and even throw in some rap and sing in Thai, and soooo much more! If you’re familiar with these names, we guarantee you will jump up to the ceiling, and if not, well then even more reason to educate yourself by coming to the gig! Just beware of irreversible addiction symptoms after a quick exposure! We’ve already got them all!

Bangkok Design Week Test Opening

Not fully open, just testing…

Dear BM friends, so many things have happened last weekend, we still haven’t had time to process it. Although we were not fully ready to open this month, we’d seen Bangkok Design Week as the perfect opportunity to have a trial run and present our “baby” to the world.

The task was overwhelming at times, but the reactions and the vibe created in those two days have by far exceeded all our expectations! People used words like – homey, lovely, good energy, relaxing, great sound – to describe their first impressions, and we are over the moon for it as that was exactly the vibe we wanted to create.

Our walls are still bare and our menu is very limited for now, but we’ve got the two most important ingredients for our bar to get it’s “mojo working” –  great music and fabulous crowd!

There are so many people to thank for helping us in making this happen, before all Charoen43 for giving us this opportunity, all the musicians that came to fill out place with sweet sounds of music, and last but certainly not the least all our friends that came to support us and new friends that hopefully will become a part of our community!

เรายังไม่เปิดอย่างเป็นทางการ…
สำหรับแฟนๆ BM ที่ถามไถ่กันมาเยอะมาก ทางเราอยากจะแจ้งให้ทราบว่ามีหลายสิ่งหลายอย่างเกิดขึ้นเมื่อสุดสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา แม้ว่าเราจะยังไม่พร้อมอย่างเต็มที่ที่จะเปิดในเดือนนี้ แต่เราได้เห็นงาน Bangkok Design Week ซึ่งเป็นโอกาสที่เหมาะสมสำหรับการ “ทดลองงาน” ของเรา
ถึงแม้ว่าบางครั้งงานก็ท่วมท้น แต่การตอบรับจากเพื่อนๆและแฟนๆทุกคน
ทำให้บรรยากาศที่เกิดขึ้นสุดสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมานั้นเกินความคาดหมายของเรามาก! เพื่อนๆที่ได้เข้ามาสัมผัส BM ต่างอธิบายความประทับใจแรกพบว่า อบอุ่น น่ารัก มีพลัง ผ่อนคลาย เสียงดีเยี่ยม ซึ่งทำให้เรารู้สึกปลาบปลื้มและอิ่มเอมใจเป็นอย่างมาก เพราะนั่นเป็น
บรรยากาศที่เราต้องการสร้างอย่างแท้จริง
แม้ผนังของเรายังว่างอยู่และเมนูของเรามีจำกัดมากในตอนนี้ แต่เรามีส่วนผสมที่สำคัญที่สุด
สองอย่างสำหรับบาร์ของเราเพื่อให้ “BM ทำงานได้” นั่นก็คือ “เพื่อนฝูง”
ที่เข้ามาเยียมเยียน และ “ดนตรีไพเราะ”! มีคนมากมายที่เราอยากขอบคุณ
ที่ช่วยเราทำให้สิ่งนี้เกิดขึ้น และขาดไม่ได้คือ @Charoen43 ที่ให้โอกาสเรา นักดนตรีทุกคนที่มาเติมเต็มสถานที่นี้ด้วยเสียงดนตรีอันไพเราะ
